External Description

Villa Montecchio is a splendid villa situated in a panoramic position amongst the Tuscan hills, near Castiglion Fiorentino and Cortona.
Surrounded by a fenced garden with olive, almond and cypress trees, the villa boasts a small pergola furnished with table and seats, ideal place for relaxing, nestled in the greenery.
You will also find a beautiful pool (5 x 10 m - depth 1.40 m), open from May 13th to September 16th. The pool is located on a natural terrace from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Valdichiana area, and is equipped with a stone solarium, sunbeds and parasols.
Moreover, at guests' disposal a private parking, barbecue and wood-burning oven, perfect for dinners or grills with friends.

Internal Description

Furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, Villa Montecchio is spread over 2 floors, and can accommodate up to 11 people, has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The three bedrooms on the first floor are endowed with air conditioning. Internet Wifi is included. Pets are allowed at an extra cost.

Ground floor: On the ground floor there is a large masonry kitchen that also serves as a dining room with a table for 10 people and some armchairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with: a huge fireplace, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, American coffee machine, oven, copper pots and pans.
Also on this level you will find a small bathroom with shower and a double bedroom.

First floor: The upper floor is accessible either through internal wooden staircase or external staircase with typical loggia. The living area consists of a sitting room (with fireplace, single sofa bed and sofa) and a study (with bookcase, desk and single sofa bed).
Then there are 2 double bedrooms (including one with a small private bathroom with shower) and a triple bedroom (1 double bed + 1 single bed). A bathroom with shower completes the floor.

Prices and conditions

Included in the price: Utilities (water, gas, electricity except heating); final cleaning; Internet Wifi; a cot (on request); house, garden and pool maintenance.

Excluded from the price: Heating (30.00€ per day); pets allowed (50.00€ per animal per week, maximum 2 pets). Tourist tax (the amount usually varies, depending on location, from €0,50 to €4.00 per person per night for a maximum of seven nights, excluding minors, and will be paid upon arrival).

Villa Montecchio is located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, between Castiglion Fiorentino and the Etruscan and Medieval town of Cortona.
Castiglion Fiorentino is a town in the province of Arezzo, well protected by ancient walls, within which real treasures, churches and palaces are hidden, a mix of unique style, from Romanesque to Neoclassical. Among the historical buildings of enormous interest (and only 750 m away from the villa) there is the Castle of Montecchio Vesponi, built on a hill, at the confluence of the Val di Chio with the Valdichiana. It is a Medieval castle with a great history, linked to the English captain John Hawkwood.
Castiglion Fiorentino is located on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, enjoying an ideal position that allows you to easily reach both the most famous tourist destinations in Tuscany (Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Val d’Orcia) and Umbria (Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi, Orvieto).
For sports lovers, we recommend an excursion to the beautiful Lake Trasimeno (the fourth largest lake in Italy) where you can practice several activities: sailing, sport fishing, canoeing, water skiing.
For wellness lovers, there are three important spas in the surrounding area: Montepulciano, Rapolano and Chianciano Terme.
For shopping lovers, in addition to the beautiful shops of Cortona, in half an hour by car you can reach the Valdichiana Outlet Village.
