External description

Villa Vallone is a historic residence of remarkable charm: an ancient 13th-century castle that embodies the elegance and prestige of Tuscan tradition. Nestled within a picturesque landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields, it lies just 30 km from Florence. The property rises majestically atop a hill, accessible via a characteristic unpaved road of approximately 1.2 km, which preserves its authentic and secluded character.
The estate is surrounded by a spacious, meticulously maintained garden featuring lush lawns and mature trees – including cypresses and magnolias – offering breathtaking views over the rolling hills, vineyards, and the iconic towers of San Gimignano.
Set within this stunning natural setting, a convenient staircase leads down to a lower level of the garden, where a beautifully shaped swimming pool (10 x 5 m, depth 1.40 m) is harmoniously framed by exposed brick walls and expansive green areas. Open from May 1st to the end of September, the pool is equipped with an outdoor shower, sun loungers, and an elegant covered loggia, perfect for relaxing in the shade.
Also within the garden is the historic Limonaia, once used to shelter citrus trees during the colder months and now transformed into a welcoming leisure space featuring a games area, table tennis, and foosball. Its rooftop terrace offers enchanting views over the countryside and is ideal for enjoying an aperitif at sunset.
Opposite the Limonaia, a comfortable lounge area furnished with sofas, along with a dining space equipped with a barbecue, invites guests to fully embrace outdoor living, from convivial gatherings to al fresco meals.
Within the estate, there is also a beautiful chapel consecrated to Saint Bartholomew, dating back to the 13th century, complete with an ancient crypt that creates an intimate and evocative atmospher, perfect for weddings or special celebrations, adding a unique and spiritual touch to the stay.
Guests also enjoy access to an authentic 13th-century Medieval tower with a private entrance. At its summit, a panoramic terrace reveals sweeping views over the Tuscan countryside, while just behind the tower a charming shaded nook provides the perfect setting for leisurely outdoor summer lunches.
The property is completed by a private outdoor parking area accommodating up to 5 cars.
